After observing the relative amount of available surface fresh water on the planet, do you believe it is necessary to conserve the amount of water we use on a daily basis? (keep in mind we live in Canada and have more water than we need;) Please explain why you believe what you do.

Yes, because since we have more clean, fresh water, we have the advantage of a better future for our children whereas other countries don't have this advantage. But if we want our children to have acess to clean water, we first need to understand that for that to happen, we must conserve all the water we have. Why not close the tap while we're brushing? Or when washing dishes by hand, don't let the water run while rinsing. Fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water.And you can run your clothes washer and dishwasher only when they are full. You can save up to 1,000 gallons a month. This way, we can be sure to conserve some water.

After observing the relative amount of available fresh water on the planet, I belive we should conserve the amount of water on a daily basis. If we don't conserve this water we will eventually run out of fresh water in the future. If we run out of fresh water, we will not survive because you need fresh water to survive. If we wont survive the human specie will die out and become extinct as well as the animals. yes i do beleive that we should conserve our water even though canada may seem that it has alot of water people say that now but they never know what there missing until its gone anyway we should always conserve everything expecally water so that way have that soruse forever and because all supplys according to envirment canada"because people undervalue water, people tend to overuse it and abuse it"and also "in the house people 5% of water is used for cleaning,10% for kitchen use and drinking,20% for laundry,30% for toilet flushing and 35% for showers and baths" to me that is way to much water for people to use.well thats a perfect example of over use of water. well all im saying is if we dont watch haw much water were useing pretty soon it would be gone.

Considering the fact that we live in Canada many people don't think about conserving water because we have most of it. But when you think of the amount of fresh water Canada actually has then you should conserve it.We learned that only 0.3% of water is fresh and the whole world has to share that then I think you should save water. Almost like the way we are running out of gas. We didn't save it before and now we're running out. Then, pretty soon the price or the water is going to become pretty high aswell.

Yes, I do believe that we should conserve the amount of fresh water that we use. Even if we od save a small amount of water, it is still something. 69% of fresh water is frozen and 30% of it is stored underground. That means that we only have 1% of fresh water that we can easily access. That 1% of fresh water needs to be used wisely. We can stop taking long showers and baths. They use a high amount of fresh water. Another we can save fresh water is by watering our grass during the night. This way, some of the water used won't evaporate during the day. We stop stop using water uselessly or else it will be gone. The furture generations won't be able to survive without drinkable water. Turning salt water into fresh water is expensive and not everyone can afford that. It's time to conserve our fresh water.

After observing the relative amount of available surface fresh water on the planet i do belive that it is nessacary to conserve the amount of water we use on a daily basis, because as we can see that we only have 0.3% of fresh water for everyone in Canada.There are still many more generations to still come and if we use up all the water now what will be left for them?We don't have to stop doing all the stuff we usually do with water we just have to watch out and make sure that we don't use too much of it or waste too much of it.We may have more water than we need but that doesn't give us any reason to use more than what we need just for the fun of it.

after observing the amount of surface fresh wateron our planet i do think that we need to start conserving water beacause, as we learned in seicence class today, 69% of the fresh water is frozen so we cant use that and 30 persent is deep deep under ground and hard to accsess. So that leaves 1%of fresh water avalible for us to use if we dont use the water whisley we will face the day that there will be no such thing as fresh water. another way to go is to make salt water fresh but nat all

Yes in my opinion I think that we should conserve water because, if you think about it sometimes we run water while we're brushing our teeth, or washing the dishes. Why can't we turn the tap off and conserve water? Another way that everyone can save water is by turning the shower off while you are putting on shampoo. That way you aren't wasting water by letting it run while you are putting on shampoo. And did you know per day an average person uses about 123 gallons of water per day? Well let's try to reduce that by taking not to long bathes or showers and turning off the tap when we aren't using it. And if we think about it then we should consider ourselves lucky because we live in Canada and it has o.5% freshwater according to Canada.

Yes. I think it is nessesary to conserve more water because we don't have much of it left. If we don't try to save water now, there might not be enough left for the later generations. We should stop using water like its never going to run out because it will eventually. It is necessary to conserve water that we use because canada only has 3 percent of fresh water, so we need to use it wisely by doing things that are essential. yes i think we should conserve our water because we only have 0.3 ml of water left and that is a very small amount and we should conserve it because then other countries can still have access to water not only us. I believe it is necessary to conserve water on a daily basis. 3% of the Earth's water is fresh water, while the other 97% is salt water. We can't drink salt water so that means we can only drink fresh water. 3% is fresh water, and to make it worse, 69% of the fresh water is frozen and 30% of the water is underground. That means we have only 1% of fresh water. We have to conserve that 1% and protect it. At least until we advance our technology and create more useful machines(that help our survival like, turning salt water into fresh water using little research and cost less) that cost less and is efficient.

I personally think that it would be a wise choice to conserve the water we have got on the planet now. Water can be used as a renewable energy source if it is treated carefully. Water is one of the most important things to live on the Earth. Without the fresh water we would be dead. People should learn to use the water more carefully. The water should not be abused, it should be treated with respect. Out of 100%, 97% of it is saltwater and 3% is the fresh water. Out of 3%, 69% of the fresh water is frozen in the glaciers where we can not access it. 30% is deep underground. The water deep underground is hard to access but the people use machines to get water out from underground. That leaves a 1% that is easy to access. That is not enough so, we need to start conserving.

Water is something that we need to live not something we want and water is a natural resource. But we can't take advantage of this while other countries don't have water. If we conserve our water it'll make it better for our childrens generation. Yes, defenately it is necessary to conserve freshwater on daily basis. Everythough we are living in, and we have more water than we need, because of that as per recent climate situation of the world, we know that everybody is talking about global warming. Day by day everywhere in the world temperature is increasing. We heard that the news that the ice glaciers are melting from North Pole, Canada is located on North of the globe, so we get most of the freshwater by melting ice. According to this situation I strongly believed that we conserve fresh water by using efficient equipment in our houses ex. (laundry, Dishwashers, etc.) and also stop wasting of extra water. In this way we can help other countries to supply the fresh water as they need.

I think canadians need to realize that there is only a limited supply of fresh water. We need to stop using water for not important reasons such as water balloon fights etc. There are many countries that have no/ very little water in there country. I do think it is important to conserve water because in some parts of the world people wish for water and we use it carelessly. IF we continue this sooner or later we will not have any water and there a high chance that we will die. we could save water by doing simple things like turning off the faucet when we are brushing, putting on soap hands or turning of shower when putting on soap.
