What I've learned about how I consume water is that I use more than I need. For exaple instead of leaving the tap on while I brush my teeth I can turn it off. I can drink pure fruit juice instead of drinking cocentrated juice. These are just some things that I might do but I can also wash the only when there's a full load. From this expiriment I've learned that I should use water more wisely and should try to conserve water on a daily basis.

What I've learned is I use more water then is necessary. When I'm brushing my teeth I just leave the water running. This wastes alot of water. So what I'm going to do now is only turn on the tap when i need it. Also, instead of taking 15 minute showers people like me and others can cut down to like 10 or even 5 minutes. By doing this experiment it showed me that I should use water when necessary and conserve it or don't use it as much every time I use it.

question 3:these results could help other canadians. if they saw how much water one person uses, then you multiply that by the number of people in ontario. that would equal a huge number. that is how much water is wasted everyday. while we waste it others are dieing without it.(water). i want to be marked with rubric 5.

that is how much i water i usually use. if i added the water from a water gun fight and he ater from a bath some people take the number gets even bigger. in a water gun you probably use 30 or 40 L. for a bath probably around 60 or 70 liters. if you disinclude those on average i use about 136.12 liters.

we have to use water very wisely. water is used in kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. we should not flow the water freely, # 1. when we clean the dishes, try to use less water and clean dishes one at a time when you put the soap on all dishes. in bathrooms, we have to consume the water, when we take a shower/bath, brush teeth, and cleaning sinks/tubs. in laundry we have to consume mild water not hot or cold water.

For washing the car, I say the car washes at gas stations or so use more water because when people wash the car by hand, only soap water is being used. you mix the soap in the water, and it cleans as you wash. car washes have one function where it washes, then the soaping function, in which that uses water too.

Through this experiment i have learned that we waste water on such small things. For example, when im washing my hands i use about 758ml. if you think about it, thats alot of water for just washing your hands. All that water was also fresh water so that is a waste because we only have a little bit of fresh water left on the planet. Therefore i've learned that we should be more alert of how were using the water

the things that i learned of how i consume water is that i dont use the source effectiffly like i should. i wasted allot of water before when i brushed my teeth about 1.5 litres of water i used just to brush my teeth. also including wadhing my hand several times per day i calculated i waste at the least 6 to 8 litres per day to wash my hand or just by taking a shower.so throughout the science experiment i realised i waste a lot of valuable water that i never thought before. but since i know that i can save people's life around the world just by using water affectivly.so my next step now is to save atleast half a litre of water per day and work my way up to save more water.

Question: How can your results be used to help other Canadians?
Answer: " My results could be used to help other Canadians because I've observed that we waste a ton of water daily without even knowing exactly how much. Having more Canadians aware of their daily usage of water will result us in having more water available for us and the later generations. The statistics of daily water usage in Canada are rising greatly. As a fact, an average Canadian consumes 150L in just one day. If Canadians were more aware of the statitics, we could bring those numbers down. The consequences of the amount of our water usage could result in suffering in the future. In the whole world we only have 1% of fresh drinking water available. Therefore, my results would help the majority of Canadians bring their water usage to a minamum.

Question #5.I’ve learned that my family sometimes over uses water. I don’t even know how much water I waste per day. I should be more careful next time.
I’ve been careless in using water. Many countries don’t have clean water like we do in Canada. So next time I should use water more carefully than I do right now. I use way more water than I think a do.

10/2/2010 09:55:26 am

We have to the save water because there is very fresh water on the Earth#1. We use water to clean dishes, wash our hands, brush our teeth, doing laundry, talking a bath/shower. We can conseve water by when were doing the dishes turn off the tap while your soaping up, same goes for washing hands rinse for two seconds thhen turn off the tap when your soaping up. When your brushing your teeth turn off tap while you are putting toothpaste on your brush. when your doing the laundary you only need 30 mintues becasue that is enough time you need to wash your clothes and it saves alot of water. When you take a shower turn off the tap when your soaping up your hair.

I would like to be marked with rubric number 5 and would like to answer question number 1. We consume lots of water. We waste water a lot. For example for bathing and showering we waste 2.5 litres approximately. When I wash my hands I keep the tap running for at least ten seconds. With my tap it is 1 litre for 10 seconds. Only about 1% of the water on Earth is clean and is accessible to us. Some people in this world die without water and we as Canadians waste so much water. I think we should start to care about how much our water is valuable to us.

Question:2. Which consumption strategies could be the most effective at reducing water usage? Why?
Answer: What I've learned from this whole experiment about how i consume water is that, most of the water that we use for important thing, is just a waste of water. For example: When washing hand, I usually leave the tap halfway. Most of my family member leave the tap full way. When leaving the tap full way it takes 5 seconds for 500 ml. I usually wash my hands for 20 seconds. For 20 seconds, 2000 ml is being used. If we turn the tap halfway, for each 5 seconds, 275 ml is used. For 20 seconds, 1100 ml is used. That's 900 ml less than using the water full way. In a day I wash my hand 3-4 times. If I wash my hands each time with the tap running full, I use 8000 ml each day which 8 L just on washing my hands. If I use it halfway each time I use, 4400 ml, compared to 8000 ml, that is a lot of water that's being saved. Another strategy that work for me when trying to consume less water is, turning the tap of when brushing our teeth when you don't need it. Brushing for me, last 3-4 minutes. If the tap stays on 3-4 minutes continusely that takes a lot more that turning the tap on for like 1 minute when you actually need it. The tap in the washroom takes about 5 seconds per 250 ml (when turned on half way) which is about the same as the tap in my kitchen. If I leave it on for 3-4 minutes , its taking 12L. Where as, when using the water when I need it, it's taking only 1.5 L. In conclusion, these small things help our earth a lot. These strategies are very effective at reducing water usage.

Question 1:What have you learned about how you consume water?
I have learned a lot about how we consume our water and how we waste water. We use water when we drink water, brush our teeth taking a shower and many more.We usually waste the water the water we use for all of these thing. But some conserve. We use approximately 0.780 L of water every time we drink water,4.5 L of water every time we brush our teeth etc.You can consume water many different ways by doing many different things, such as turning off the faucet when brushing your teeth, use less time when you shower, using less time is conserving more water. All these strategies that i have shared with you can be a excellent point on saving our water supply.

4. Do car washes use less water than washing a car by hand? Prove your point.
I think that car washes at the gas station use more water then at home.I think that because at home your only using some soap and water, and at the gas station there are a lot of steps. At home you can just put the soap in the water and at the gas station they do it one by one. I would liked to be marked by the 4th rubric.

Question#3:How could your results be used to help other Canadians?
Answer: My results can be used to help other Canadians in many resourceful ways.To begin, if other Canadians knew how much fresh water supply we really have left they may have sympathy for future generations and reduce the amount of water they waste. This is because most people are not aware that only 3% of the water in the world is fresh. They may also use the reduction strategies in my results to use only as much water as they need. For example, when brushing your teeth, turn off the tap. Same goes for turning off the tap when you are washing your hands. Only using the dishwasher and/or washing machine when you have full loads can help to by avoiding the number of times you use the machine. The only thing you may not want to reduce is the amount of water you drink because that is a need. But to have more drinking water in the future we must reduce the amount of water we waste from day to day. That is why I think my results can help Canadians realize that they need to start really thinking about the water they use and not take it for granted.

At the gas stations, the car washes use more water because every car washes there car like everyday. It also waste more water then washing your car at home. When you wash your car at home you use less water because your basically using more soap more and less water.

question 1
What I learned from this experiment is I use more water than I actually need. I flush the toilet four times in a single use. If one flush uses 4L 4 flushes uses 16L. That is so much fresh drinking water. Another example is when I wash the dishes one use uses 1L and since I wash the dishes 2 times that is 2L. Also, I let the water at full power and that makes it even worse. I drink a lot of water based juices. The juice is 75 percent water and since i drink juice 3 times per day the total is I already used 2L of water. And when the clothes are being washed one cycle uses 30L of water and the total is 60L. s
Some reduction strategies might be instead of flushing the toilet 4 times i could flush it once or twice. When washing dishes instead of running the water at full power I could run the water at half power or slow power. Instead of drinking water bases juices I could make fruit juice that doesn't use any water, I could eat a juicy snack, and I could drink juice that uses little water or juice that doesn't use any water. And for washing clothes I could set the water to mild or set it to very little water. This is some reduction strategies that I could use. Doing this experiment taught me to use water wisely and conserve it when I don't need it. I'd like to be marked with rubric 4.

1. What have you learned about how you consume water? I have learned that i use a lot of water. When i brush my teeth i leave the sink running and that wastes a lot of water. So for future notices I should start turning of the tape when I am brushing my teeth. When I need to rinse my mouth ill just turn the water on then. Also another example is when I am giving my dog a shower i should cut down his showers to 7-12 min instead of 25-30. Also when I am putting shampoo on my dog i should turn the water on instead of just leaving it running for know reason at all. This is what I know about using water now.

Question # 3

How can your results be used to help other Canadians?

My results could be used to help other canadians because Ive observed that canadians use way to much water than they really need. For example some people wash their hands for about 20 seconds and they waste about 2000mL during that period of time. Also when people drink water from a water fountain, you need to have about 8 glasses of water each day so thats wasting about 6.44L each day. Think about in a week? Your wasting about 45.08L in just one week! There is alot of ways of which you can save water.A way you can save water is by not using it for unnecessary things such as water fights. You probably waste atleast 1L of water just having a water fight. So as we can see that everyone each day wastes alot of water but by doing little things we can have enough water for each generation that'll come.

Q #1
What I've learned about how I consume water is that I think that I use WAAAAY to much water than I could possibly ever need!! Of course I have sometimes given thought about how much water I am using by asking myself: Am I using too much water? Before, the answer to that question would have normally been: Nah. But now, the answer to that question is: YES. I figured out that I use AT LEAST 6460 L of water, and that's just AT LEAST. To make matters worse I've always thought that the washing machine only uses 50L of water, but my mom told me it must use at least 100lL or more.
SO now, I'm gonna change that and use WAAAAY less water, rather than WAAAAY more. I think it's bad enough that there isn't much fresh clean water, so we should be more careful if we want this clean water availble for future generations.

Research studies show that car washes by hand are not more efficient than full service automatic carwashes. In fact, there is a difference of 152L of water. The average amount of water used during a hand car wash is 292L per wash. Where as, a full service automatic carwash uses an average of 140L of water per wash. I called the petro Canada gas station to ask how much water off of an average is used for a regular car wash but they had no answer so I had to do some further researching. Question #3
Rubric 4 (:
I've Learned that in the matter of seconds we are wasting away the world's supply of water. My experiment results would help other Canadian's realize that we are taking advantageof the worlds supply of clean drinking water , by seeing our day to day water comsumption. Either it's from brushing our teeth to washing our hands after every meal we eat, we are basically washing away the worlds ability to surviuve. If our habits increase in the next couple of decades, the world will soon die out because of our careless usage of water. In other words, we are all going to die sooner than we thought, imagine the lives you are going to ruin by using the water for non- essential things ,those families might also be of yours. Realizing our poor ability to take in consideration of others should take part when ever we use water. The sooner us Canadians learn to conserve water will help increase the life span of the human existance.

Here are the following examples from my day to day life (:

Dishes: 5-10 minuest long -3 times a day = 15L a day

Washing my hands:
3L each time- the tottal depends on the day . usually at least 7 times a day

Brushing my teeth: 1L each time- 2 times a day- 2L

& Washing My face:
1L- 2 times a day = 2L

As for taking a shower; the usage would be extremely high.

We can't make everyone change, but by making a simple adjustment to our daily usage could make a large impact (:

Question:
3. How could your results be used to help other Canadians?

My results will be used to help Canadians in a very valuable way. My results will help Canadians in a very valuable way because hopefully they will start consuming water. A way you can consume water is by turning off the faucet while you are brushing your teeth. If you don't turn off the faucet you are wasting unnecessary water for our planet and for yourself because if you waste the water you are also making your hydro bill higher and you have to pay more. Many Canadians do not know that fresh water is very important and valuable but there isn't a lot left of it. Many Canadians use water for un important reasons like having a water balloon fight. By having a water balloon fight you are just taking fresh water putting it into a balloon and throwing it at people for unnecessary reasons and just wasting that water. Many Canadians don't realize you need water to live. If you are just wasting the water, eventually there will be no water left on Earth and how will we survive? You should always consume water as much as you can. Even if you consume water a little it makes a huge difference. We need to save water for us and our coming generations. If we don't save water now, we will not have any water left. Save water so we can let the human specie live longer!

Question: Which consumption strategies could be most effective at reducing water usage? Why?
Answer:

On a daily basis I use 58L. I used water most when I was taking a bath. It took me 10 minutes to take a bath. Now, I don't think I can reduce that by a lot. Therefore, the next thing I could reduce is how much water I waste when I'm drinking water. When somebodies thirsty they just quickly go and fill a glass of water. They might not drink the whole thing but they will fill it up all the way. They drink as much as they want and then spill the rest(wasting). What I usually do is fill up my cooler half way. That way I will drink that through out the day. That will save up a whole lot of water. Just imagine, if you waste 8L approx. a day and you multiply that by the amount of family members you have. It's going to be a lot. That is one of the ways I learned how to conserve water. (I'd liked to be marked with rubric 4)

Question: #1
Rubric: #4

Answer: I have learned that we consume a lot of water. For example, we use water when we clean, cook, wash are hands, watering the lawn, brushing, and flushing the toilet. Basically everything we use has water. We should try to save water because water is a naturally resource and we don't want to waste it. A person can live without food for over a month but only a few days without water. Water is something that we can't live without, like computers because if computers shut down then we won't know how much money people have in banks, we won't be able to buy food and also sorts of other stuff. We should save water now because some day we might not have it. Here are some examples of how much water I use everyday:

Brushing~5 minutes~2 times per day~1000L
a day
Flushing a toilet~4 gallons~3 times a day~45.426L a day
Shower~15 minutes~1 time per day~1500L a day
Water lawn~30 minutes per day~ 1 time per day~3000L a day

These are some of the ways I consume water. If you calculate all that water I used, then it will be 5545.426L of water and that's not even all the water I use every day. That's a lot of water and if I were to calculate the total amount of water I use per day then it will probably be 4 times that amount and maybe more or less. These are some of the ways we consume water and also, these are some of the ways that I have learned how we consume water.

Question:1.What have you learned about how you consume water?
Rubric 4
I learned that I actually use more water than I need! When i am washing my face, i don't turn off the faucet. Therefore, i am wasting a lot of water. Also, when i am washing my hands, i don't turn off the faucet when i apply soap. Not turning off the habit is bad because it wastes water every second. It is not that serious if you do it for a second, but if thousands of people don't turn off the faucet, we are losing liters of water per second! This question ties with question 3. We could use this knowledge and help Canadians. We could tell them we are using too much clean water , then they could use some reduction strategies to reduce the amount of water we waste. We could all think, 1000 people could think of more ways than 1 person! One person isn't a lot, but millions of people wasting water is a lot! We could all brainstorm ideas to save water! That way we could have more fresh water longer! We could turn off the faucet, take short showers, go to the car wash, use water conservation products, water the lawn once a month, and don't use the water fountain, bring a water bottle! I use 1.1L of water just brushing my teeth 2 times a day. I waste more than 250mL rinsing my stuff. If a 10 people are like me, we all waste about 2500mL every time we use it. I could save 250mL minimum if i rinsed less. I use 2L washing my face 2 times a day. I waste more than 500mL leaving the faucet on. If 10 people are like me, we waste 5000mL every time! We all have habits but if we all stop and conserve, we can make a big difference. If 100 people waste 250-500mL leaving the faucet on. If they all stopped, we could save 25000mL-50000mL. One person can't make a difference, but a lot of people could! If we don't start now, we will waste millions to billions liters every day, and we have less than 3% of usable fresh water, and most of it is locked up! We will become extinct if this goes on any longer! So if we start now, we could live longer!

Question#2

I have learned from the experiment that I did by observing and measuring the consumption of water in daily basis. In everyday life we are wasting lots of water.

For example. when we are brushing our teeth most of the time we leave the tap open full way for atlest 3 to 4 minutes I measured that in 10 seconds 1 litre of water running down the drain.

During washing hands for atleast 2 min each time with fully open tap 12 litres of water goes down the drain. These are the simple examples of daily life where we consume a big amount of water.

Other examples of consumption of water are toilet flushing we use 750mL of water per use.For cooking and washing dishes everyday we use around 15 to 16 litres of water including washing vegetables, fruits, dishes, and vessels.

While we bath or shower for 6 to 7 minutes with fully open tap, consumed 31.5 litres of water.

For washing clothes 2 to 3 times in a week consumed around 15 litres per use.

As per my overall water usage observation and measurement I concluded that,we will reducing wastage of water by a carefull usage as well as by using latest tecnology.
For example: during bush our teeth,we don't need to leave open tap full way upto 4 to 5 minutes, we can open it halfway, when we really need it.By This Way we can save atleast 12 Liters of water.

During washing our hands,we can open the tap half way reduce the water usage halfway or by using hand sanitizer, instead of washing hands each time.

For cooking, washing dishes, washing clothes,showering/bathing, we can use new technology like for cooking, better quality pressure cookers, which consumes less water for cooking.Use a dishwasher for dish washing instead of mannual wash, for washing clothes using washing machine, which consumes less water.

Because, by reducing the consumption of water ( mean wasting of water) we can help to our environment, people and our globe.

What I learned is that us canadians use alot lot of water and consurve lase water. What we need to do is wash the lawn once a week make sure you don't over fill things and not brush 8 times a day brush your theet once a day or don't leave the water runing and go to the phone. My family uses the most water we always try to be carfull. This month because we didn't use that much water and we got a smaller bill.

1. What have you learned about how you consume water? Rubric #4.

I have learned alot by learning, investigating, experimenting that i use more than enough water i need to survive with in a day. i use 144L a day and i think we meaning all of us can consume water to use water for future by not wasting it because alot of us buy canadian bottles and drink a little and through it away while you can buy a reusable water bottle and use it everyday if you dont wanna drink it then just leave it and drink it later when you need too. I also noticed(myself) that i take a long time taking a bath because i use 80L of water per shower which can be reduced if we calculate how long it will take by estimating. the time for taking a shover can be reduced to 10minutes or even 5minutes if we want too. For washing your car by hand i have calculated that we use 32L of water and when i saw how much 32L is i believe you really can wash a car with 32L so yes there are so many ways to reduce and reuse water. it is time to reduce the amount of water because there may not be enough money to pureify all the salt water on earth and we want the temperatures to be okay not so cold or hot so we should not only do this for Ourselfves, also for our fututre children.

IGNORE THE OTHER ONE Mr Dobbie!!!!!!!!. Mark this updated one!!!!!
Rubric:#4 Question: 1. What have you learned about how you consume water? Answer: What I've learned is I use more water than is necessary. When I'm brushing my teeth I just leave the water faucet running. This wastes a lot of water. In fact according to my results it wastes 10 L of water. So what I'm going to do now is only turn on the tap when I need it. For example, when I'm brushing my teeth the tap will be off and when I'm rinsing the tap will be on. So hopefully it'll cut down to 5 or even 4 L. Also, instead of taking 10 minute showers people like me and others can cut down to about 5 minutes. People can conserve water in showers by not leaving the water running for a long period of time while doing nothing. By doing this experiment it showed me that I should use water when necessary and conserve it or don't use it as much every time I use it. Conserving water is important because if we conserve water there will be more water usage for future generations.

Question: What have you learned about how you consume water?
Rubric: #4
Answer: What I've learned about how I consume water is that I use more than I need. For example instead of leaving the tap on while I brush my teeth I can turn it off. I can drink pure fruit juice instead of drinking concentrated juice. These are just some things that I might do but I can also wash the dirty laundry only when there's a full load. From this experiment I've learned that I should use water more wisely and should try to conserve water on a daily basis.

What have you learned about how you consume water?

I learned about consuming water is that people is filtering it over and over every time. Also there rising up the prices every year, week, or month. That why people wasting water too much. The chart is helpful because they have everything you need to talk about the graph. The most amount of water is use is wash hands and clean dishes because the water is running too long while the dishes are cleaning.

What have you learned about how you consume water? Rubric #4
After doing the experiment I learned that I use a lot of water. Everyday I take a shower in the morning and then again at night for about 20 minutes each. That’s a lot of water about 500 liters. That is a lot if you really think about it and it’s also not necessary. When we use water we abuse it. We can consume less water but at the moment that never runs across our mind and so we use hundreds of liters of water a day. For example when we wash the dishes, brush our teeth, take a shower, wash our hands, water the grass, wash our car and more we are using a lot of water. We could consume less water by using it when it is absolutely necessary or use less for example maybe just a 10 minute shower would work. So instead of using 250 liters you could use 125 liters. Water is a natural resource and we don’t have enough of it to take it for granted. Fresh water is almost too hard to find and so using less water will help keep it around a while longer. We have about 3-5 percent of fresh water that we can use in Canada. If we use water like how we are now we won have any left and we need water for everything. If we want to save our selves save the water.

question 1
i learned i use a lot of water every day. i use 135 L of water a day.for some things like showering, watering the lawn ans washing a car wastes alot of water. for shower and car wash 20 L of water is used. i magine all the people in ontario that would equal a lot of water. it equals 1540356210 L of water. that is really big amount of water. only 3 percent of water is used fresh. in one day a lot is used. i want to be mark ed with rubric 4. updated blog.

Mr. Dobbie, could you mark me on this answer instead of the first one? Thanx.
Question 1
Rubric 4
I have learned that I use much more water than I expected. My grand total was 329.4034 L. I have done a bit of research to make my answers as accurate as possible. First, here is a list of how I use water:
1. When I flush the toilet, I use 16 L of water. I go to the washroom 4 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening, and before bedtime), using up about 64 L in total.
2. I usually hand wash the dishes, about once a day. Even though I hand wash the dishes, I use up averagely 20 L in total.
3. When I brush my teeth, I turn the tap off. Before, when I was little, I never turned the tap off, even though my parents told me to. I didn’t turn the tap off when I was little because my parents never explained why I had to turn it off. But then I found out as I got older. Anyways, with the tap off, only 2 L goes down the drain, whereas with the tap kept on, 4 L went down the drain. So, in total, for me, 4 L goes down the drain each day (because I brush 2 times a day), but before, 8 L used to go down the drain.
4. Showering took a stumbling 80 L for just 10 minutes! I only shower once a day, so the total would be 80 L.
5. When I wash my hands with soap, it uses 1.7 L of water, but when i just rinse my hands, it uses 700mL of water. Half of the time, I rinse my hands, and the other half, I actually wash them. So, 700 x 2 = 1 400, and 1.7 x 2 = 3.4. 1 400 + 3.4 = 1 403.4 mL. My total for washing my hands is 1.4034 L.
6. Washing my hands actually took 1.7L. I wash my hands at least 3 times a day, so that’s a total of 5.7L.
7. The laundry takes about 160 L of water! I didn’t know that at first, but then I asked my mom. She said,”The laundry machine takes about that much water, first for putting the detergent, then for rinsing.” So basically, I wash my clothes about once every few days, so the total is 160 L.
I could save a lot of water and lower the hydro bill by:
1. Turning the faucet off when scrubbing the dishes clean with soap.
2. Cut my shower time to 5 minutes; good for the environment and for my skin (if you’re in water for too long, the water takes away your body’s natural oil and your skin becomes wrinkly).
3. Rinse my hands, and then turn the faucet off. Then scrub my hands with soap and turn the faucet on again.
4. Wash my laundry once a week, or wear each item of clothing twice before washing them.

Updated reflection on experiment

Question 4: Do car washes use less water than car washes by hand?

Rubric 5

Earlier today, I've gotten from my science teacher that gas station car washes can be more water efficient than hand car washes. I said hand car washes were more water efficient, but, I've been thinking about it. Gas station car washes would probably use 150-170L(due to the 2 stages of washing it does) of water for every cycle, and I think that same water is sucked back up, and put to wash again. Hand car washes may use about 100-120L and isnt sucked back up like regular washes. Instead, that water goes down the sewer, and doesnt wash again. If the car washes at gas stations keep reusing the same water, then weekly washing your car by hand doesnt, car washing by hand is really the one that wastes more water.

Do car washes use less water than washing a car by hand?

If you wash your car at the car wash it uses less water because when you wash your car the water gets re-used again and again and when you watch your car at home the you just waste the water when your done with it.

Do car washes use less water than washing a car by hand? Prove your point
i have tested an experiment where i was using the water to clean a normal object but a car is about 525 cm so i divided the object which was a table which was about 36 cm.and i got 14.58.
if you round it up it would be 15 in a car was you might now know how much water your wasting but when you wash a car by your hand then you know when to use the water and when not to. you use it wisely and carefylly , so you would be wastin about 0.42 much water but when you hand wash it you know when to stop.

Question #1.I’ve learned that my family sometimes over uses water. I don’t even know how much water I waste per day. I should be more careful next time.
I’ve been careless in using water. Many countries don’t have clean water like we do in Canada. So next time I should use water more carefully than I do right now. I use way more water than I think a do. I know that because i made a chart and recorded all of my answers and observations. The most water that i waste is probably is in washing the car. It wastes more water because we use more water tahn we need with our hands or at home but at a car wash they give you the amount of water that u need to wash your car. People waste alot of water washing their cars at home.

Question 1: What have you learned on how you consume water?
Rubric: #4
answer: Through this experiment i learned alot of different facts that i did not know on water. This had made me more alert on how we consume our daily usage of water. The reason i say this is because scientists have gone into further research n have said that we have very little water. We have even less than the 3% that they had said. But there is also a way that we could make seawater and distill it to make fresh water. So because this is such a serious matter something dramatic had caused it, that is where we come in. We as humans consume water on a daily baises, that is ok considering we cant live without it. but the problem is how we are consuming the water. For such simple things like washing our hands we actually take advantage and use way more than what is needed. For example, for my experiment i had measured the amount of water i used and it was 781ml. now just to wash hands thats alot of water. That is more than a water bottle. just imagine that all that water being used for that plus the whole world. On top of that we use it for other things to! Therefore i have learned to be more alert as to how i use my water.

Question 4:Do car washes use less water than washing a car by hand? Prove your point.
I liked to be marked by rubric #4
Answer
Hypotheses
I guess , car washers use large amount of water than washing your car by hands. In reality car washes use 80lper car water more water than car washed by hand. Washing a car by hand one day week takes about 100l per car but on the other hand car washes use 180l per car every day. In one day about 30 cars go for car washes. It’s about using 5400l every day and if the person wash 2 car’s a week it’s about using 200l per week.
Answer:
By researching I get to know I was wrong. Washing your car by hand use does waste your water but on the other hand car washer recycles the waster and reuses the same water. I got to know about this by calling the gas stations and asked the manager some questions. She told me that car washers save 50l every day. Washing the car by hand the waste 200l per week.
